At the moment, im mixing between using my own naffy "point and click" compact digicam, and my dads Digital SLR.... with my birthday etc coming up, im wanting something capable of taking decent photographs!

I was looking at SLR's but the price has put me off, and after reading a bit on the internet, i'm quite liking the Sony Cybershot H10... Does anyone have experience of using these? Good, bad? Whats the picture quality like in comparison to the SLRs?

Thanks
B

It's reasonable for a pocket camera - also have a look at the Canon G10 (or a second-hand G9). I use a G9 for when a SLR is too much hassle...

Prehaps look into second hand cameras for starters? Probably best not to spend to much when its being used for UE, i got my dSLR, for £130 and its as new.

I had a look at a couple of those but a bit out of my price range!! Was thinking £200 budget.

These are a couple of photos I took tonight... would I be able to get similar results with the H10 do you think?
