View Full Version : Report - "Cavalier Attitude", Blackburn

dweeb

Visited with Oxygen Thief and Raddog.

This little beauty was found by Raddogs hard work and research. Named for two reasons, one from the previous days fun and games under the watchful eye of the "laughing cavalier", and then the water tower of cavalier carpets being visable from the culvert set the name in stone.

This culvert is very similar to Timble Beck in Leeds, a very old stone cutting which has been covered over in sections in various ages and building methods. It runs under the city of Blackburn and then out in to the countryside. A great little culvert, although quite low in places...

I thought this looked bigger from the ariel shots & research but it was still a good find, full of fish for most of it, but some 'fresh and deat rats downstream.

Walking back through Blackburn town centre I've got to say I'd choose the culvert over topside everytime!
