Guys broke my 'duck' Tuesday.
We spotted a lovely starting spot in 'Our Lady Star of the Sea'.
The church is scaffolded up to the top of the spire, which gives a stunning view of London from the south of the Thames. Canary Wharf is just a few miles away and beautifully lit.
Security - well there is none, apart from the scaffolders taking away the bottom ladder up to the first deck. From there on up its about 5 storeys up to the the green netting, then the scaffolding tapers in with the spire. then about 10 more storeys, up to a lovely viewing platform. The only problem we saw was the house next door having their upper window open, so keep the noise down til you get real high. We guessed it went 150ft (guessed). Awesome views all around.
Pictures are stuck in my camera, cos I left the lead at home, and I'm in Manchester. Good luck, and just be cool walking to the start on Crooms Hill (next to Greenwich Park).
Already found tonites entertainment in Manchester.
Pictures to follow on both sites.
