Hi all. I visited the abandoned and disused Buchanan Street Tunnel last week in Glasgow which was one of four train terminus stations that served the city of Glasgow before closing in 1966.

I always thought the Buchanan Tunnel was buried under the Buchanan Shopping Center and Concert Hall. So what was the tunnel that was filled in and built on?

either you're brave or it's cleaned up a bit ! one of us (milk crate fans) investigated buchanan street tunnel about 10 years ago but the lower end was deeply flooded with chemical laden water from the old tar works next to it.

nice pics, very jealous :)

Cheers for the feedback. Don't be jealous I am happy to walk the other part of the tunnel whenever. I am hoping next week so if you want to come with me and some of the gang then send me a PM or an e - mail at jonathan_1990@hotmail.co.uk and you can happily come along with us. There very bad toxication inside the tunnel - it really is bad for your lungs if you were to kee breathing it in. Only one part of the tunnel however is flooded which is very little and you can bypass this area by using the concrete embankment at one side of the tunnel which can keep anyone steady when wlaking along it.

Ok so now we've progressed from portrait shots shown in the Epic Fail Bin to about the same three shots of the Buchanan Street Railway Tunnel albeit at different focal lengths.

May I be so bold as to ask why without sounding too discouraging?

Different focal lengths. My site was hacked into on Monday afternoon, cut a long story short, my website had to be delete. I iwll add the abandoned and disused galleries as soon as I can when I get enough time to do so.
