We did it, we finally made it up a tower crane.
We did a recce earlier on in the day, and found the best way into the site. After that it was just a quick scurry across the site, avoiding all the loose 're-bar', and we were at the base.
I was suprised at how exposed the leg climb felt, with not much protection at all. Once through the pivot (bit sketchy), we were on the drivers cab level. On more small scary ladder and we were on the arm. Clipped the krabs onto an eye-bolt (I know - slightly too safe for some), and there we were.
After about 5 minutes up there, we spotted the 'hired muscle' doing a circuit of the site, he eventually went back to his den. So we chilled again. After another 5 minutes, a police van (ringed in 2nd photo), from a near by car park did a long lap of the site, so we sat firm. After another 5, they went, and rain stopped play, so we made our way down a very wet set of ladders......
