Painting with light isn't something I'm particularly into meself, but these shots are outstanding:

Something to aspire to, definitely.

Technically very clever but... I don't like them, apart from a couple, sorry!

I do not mind light painting with 'white light' to enhance a picture, but not to create a picture like this.

HMMM! I was wondering what has been used to create the light apart from sparklers!

They look very interesting, most of it appears to be a light source on a string, but there are a few interesting extra touches.

More artistry than photography really?

Lots of homemade devices by teh look of it. Like these ball things, but answers on a postcard how he's done the barcode coming out the top of them?

you can see the light wand he has used on this one:

http://izismile.com/img/img2/20090722/bonus//6/light_paintings_24.jpg

And on this one he obviously has light on his suit somehow...

very cleverly done though and makes me want to go and try some :)

A roman candle? Very interesting, I prefer the simple illumination ones best however.

Clearly very talented BUT everything he does seems to completely clash with the settings... He might just as well have done it all on a black background for all the sympathy and understanding he has exhibited for his choice of locations. It's not so much art as art with a capital F - look what I can do,- blind you with novelty and hang any real creative vision...

Some work well, others dont, i think id be alot more impressed if the set had only 4-5 epic shots.

Mind blowing..awesome mate, slagging him off for the tools he's used is like looking at a painting and saying "its okay but i see you've used oils there" doesn't stop the end result being fantastic. Watch me make a prick of myself with a pack of sparklers come November.

This is a type of photography I m exploring at the moment. Usually LED torches etc Wire wool in a wire cage on a much longer length also is used in some cases...

I bought a rechargeable lantern in Argos for a few jobs and it is working out well. A trip to a pound shop might throw up some useful cheap kit...

So far I have done phone box interiors in blue and green light. painted a passenger/tourist boast white, while shooting into the moon. Got nice motion blur to the clouds too..

Some awsome examples on FLickr of what people are doing, and orbs are something else....

Boring. I think once they progress past the gimmick they might develop the techniques into something more impressive than oh shiny thing.

Pretty maybe but no depth to them.
