So, following a report on here over the last few weeks me and Spatulatum decided to go and have a look for ourselves...

This is my first report so go easy on me!!

Farleigh tunnel is a disused ammunition transport tunnel stretching from the ammunition dump in Monkton Farleigh and the main railway line between Box and Bath.

Is it just me or does that brickwork look like it's been popped through and then concreted behind, like a proper plug.

What's behind the wall?

I remember years ago getting into some tunnels under a city. We were 13 at the time and walked about 3 miles from my house with a massive crowbar. The concrete was like steel. We worked in candlelight and were taking a break when "Hang on mate, did you hear that?" There were voices the other side of the wall. It turns out that the tunnel came up in an old building which was being used as a library. It would have been funny if we actually did knock a hole in it! Good job we didn't.

I imagine nanny is a lot more disapproving about breaking and entering or criminal damage these days. Don't do anything too illegal chaps!
