Brinksway Air-Raid Shelter Stockport sep/09

This is my first official report so here goes....

Report undertaken by myself and valinov back in september 09.:thumb

Brinksway ARS, this site is well documented within this forum so i wont put any history in but as i understand it, it is the largest or one of the largest underground ARS's in england.

The entire system of tunnels was hand cut into the sandstone in the stockport area of manchester meaning some nice pictures were the result :-)

The next two images are near the only other way for fresh air to enter the place, upon closer inspection the manhole is covered by something on the other side and cannot be pushed open but the view from inside looks good.

Really good in there the air is not too stale either.
