Visited with Reef

Im glad I got the chance to go back here as when i went a couple of years ago i only had an hour inside then had to go, and then it got sealed! Time flew again this time and although ive walked round the whole shelter im sure theres loads of little gems to find.

The shelter was built in 1941 and had a capacity of 2500 people. This and the neighbouring Wymering shelter(which could take another 2500) had a combined length of 1.8 miles. There were wooden bunks built in three tiers along the lengths of the tunnel sections.

It's seems a mazing this is still open given the hassle we had over the years.

Yeah keep the torches off the bats if you see them.
