Myself, Sixxfingers and Silverfoxxx met up with BenWRX and went to Deva Hospital and Asylum in Chester yesterday.
This is one of the best places I've been so far and was well worth the trip.
It would be pretty fair to say that unlike BenWRX, we are not the most nimble of people so getting up and over (and back down again) caused many a problem.
BenWRX gave us a taste of things to come when the first thing we had to do was scale an nine foot board to get to the Morgue.
Plenty of comedy moments followed.
I jumped down/fell out of a stairway window and ended up on my back :D
Silverfoxxx fell off a roof, much to the enjoyment of BenWRX (I'd gone the long way round and taken the easier drop, with the help of Sixx and missed it  ).
And Sixxfingers won the prize the most attempts to climb over a wall - Four goes I think :D
The Highlight for me was the "hazard room". Some form of Cell with black and yellow stripes on all surfaces

A proper day out was had by all, and thanks again to BenWRX for being our Guide.
Feeling like I've hit by a Bus today :D :D :D

Countess of Chester or Deva as it is was know, opened 1829 and closed Part of the original building still open parts closed in 1996/7.

What a superb explore!!!
A massive shout out to BenWRX who, worked hell and high water on the day to get us three fuckers around all the site... plus helping me get a little better at overcoming some of my fear of heights. Thanks Ben. ;)

Really enjoyed this place - loads, and highly recommend a visit... enjoy some of my pics.

Took over 200 on the day... so here is a few more...
Like Madmax mentioned, the stuff we had to do on the day to do the whole site, is why the thread is called what it is... very good :D

Yes, Yes, Yes... A very good days exploring and well worth the effort needed to see the place. As my aching limbs are still telling me it was indeed and effort. (oooh we are nimble, almost like gazelles)

Thanks again to Ben for the tour, much appreciated.

Here's some of my pics from the day
