Well, we could not stop away from Longbridge! Totally spur of the moment visit, what was going to be a look at ground already covered turned into us covering another 1/3 of the site! We made it into the main assembly plant and engine casting depts, but I will discus those in seperate posts later in the week (with pics)

Anyway we made it 'under' longbridge twice tonight. Firstly in the sprawling network of tunnels that the factorie's east works power house sits upon. The power house is amazing, like nothing I've ever seen, but no pics as it was dark. Underneath is a system of collecting sah via a narrow gauge railway. Awesome stuff, I estimate has been out of use for at least 20 years

Second was a small stream, which (were assuming now!) was once in a cut, but was concreted over to form an air raid shelter. The tunnel does not lead anywhere, but extends some 200meters!!
