Millenium Dome - 21/11/06

Visited here tonight with Palace fan and tank

First of a great big cheers to PF, without his quick thinking and many uses for rope i dont think this would have been possible.

On to the dome itself . Work is still well under a way to make it into the "O2" with the main stadium taking shape and what not and there are workers 24/7. But firstly we had to get to the roof. Im not one for heights but getting up there was scary as feck, not to mention the top was like a bouncy castle. You sereously felt you was going through. It was worth it though as the views from the top were stunning,

On the way back down we thought we were done for as a van drove right past us and didnt actually see us!!! RESULT!.

Really funny night, and great to meet up with Tank and Zero again.

How many times did we nearly get rumbled!

With workers swarming all over the place, our usual route just wasn't happening. We had to find a new route into the dome, along the way passing the fully lit-up workers cafe plus workers. Then whilst climbing to the roof on the river side, a police patrol boat did two sweeps. The best, was when we climbed back into the dome, three of us on a brightly lit exposed scaffold, when a van drives upto the leg. Tank climbed back into the leg, I hit the scaffold boards, but Zero was caught mid-ladder, going for the fireman-slide-down-the-ladder manoeuver.

What a night! That place is awesome, cant wait to get back there and climb up to those red lights. Big thanks to PF for showing us around.
