Explore with Futureal33.

This was going to be a cool explore from the moment we got into the grounds. The weather looked on our side and security was none-existent.

We started off with something a little smaller first and found a way in to the Doctors Accommodation. This is where having a 32 LED torch came in handy; there is absolutely no natural light at all in this place! We were greeted by awesome wooden chandeliers, bath-tubs and sinks, all intact. After browsing around the ground floor, upstairs and loft we made our way to the real Whittingham.

Faced with a sealed entrance, we discovered that a little more effort was needed to get past the fence. Now on the *wrong* side of the fence, we headed towards what we thought was the service tunnel entrance; to find out that it was just a small rectangular tunnel that had been used for storage.

Now on up to St Luke’s. Usual way in was still accessible. I was on edge at this point as I bumped into security two corridors away the week before. After tip toeing down corridor after corridor, we ended upstairs in one of the wards to try and find a particular lift.
Aha we found it at last, and proceeded to climb the service ladder running up the lift shaft. Someone’s been having fun up there! The circuit board box had around 5-6 circuit diagrams lying around it with the door flung open. Not to mention two large lithium batteries wired up, maybe in attempt to start the lift back up? After admiring the view from the lift shaft window, we made our way down the ladders and headed towards the main hall.

Now once we’ve seen what security have done with this place, one of us commented that it would be easier to get into Fort Knox than the main hall. An impressive attempt at keeping people out of the corridor doorways to the hall were well and truly boarded up; with a screw followed by a nail which would make it absolutely impossible to get past.

Ah well, we’ll have to settle for the projection room ;) After finding various jars with unknown items in and admiring what we could see of the main hall, we were on our way again to find Lawns shop. Neither of us had seen this so it was quiet to our amazement that we found it in the first place. First of all we noticed the amazing wooden staircase leading up to the library, with Lawns hiding around the corner on the ground floor. Intact with glass cabinet still intact :)

By about this time, we thought we didn’t really want to be pushing our luck and the bad weather was just about setting in. So we made a quick exit and decided to check a few things out in the Nurses Accommodation. These things would be 4 dead mice in a frying pan and an entrance to the proper service tunnels. And by hell they were there! I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
