Peugeot Ryton Plant (Infiltration)

Del Boy taught us 'he who dares wins'... and there is alot of truth in that. I had a little bit of insider information with this one, but I have been putting it off for weeks. However with the news that today was the last time they were ever going to be building a peugeot in Britain, I had to give it a try. It was a grey and miserable morning, quite fitting for the sombre day at the plant. Drove my car in the car park, and then walked past the security hut, giving a small nod to the guy in the hut. Put on high vis, and went through the door I had been told to use by my "in". I had been given some advice, stay clear of the offices, and anywhere that is being stripped out. That was the paint shop out the window, but the main car track was still in full swing for it's last day. I was nervous the whole time, and tried to be discreet with photos. I decided against the Nikon, and took my small canon. I forgot how hard it is to get good shots with a handheld! Fantsatic to see the cars half finished, a sight that will never again be seen in Coventry. Another sad day for British manufacturing, but a top explore! After nearly a hour I decided not to push my look and go out the way I came... not bothered once by security!
