Sorry and all that, but I went too!
It was aces. Met loads of top people - Kongzi, Dab, Ether, Will, Fieldym, Immortal Owl (who won the prize for longest journey of the day, if not the year), Speed...and I already knew Lightbuoy and Jimbo.
Last time I went was a bit crap in terms of sights to see (totally my fault - stupid horror films and voddy the night before) so I was rather pleased with the way yesterday went for me. Having had a rather marvellous find behind the fireplace in Mistley (honestly, it was like that bit in that film, you know, the bit where they find that stuff behind that thing and...), and seeing a few bits of the place I hadn't before, we met up with the rest of the group and headed over to the Admin access. Now, I used to be a great deal fatter than I am these days, but my brain hasn't quite caught up with my body yet. Cue loads of me looking at the access going "no way. i'll never get my arse through there". Ta to Jimbo and Ether for offering withering "bloody girls" looks and helpful tips - I eventually made it and after all that it was only difficult cos my legs were too long. D'oh. Well worth the bruises today tho.
So there you go. A marvellous explore in good company. It's always pleasing to find other mentalists out there. Ahem.
Took loads of pics, got a few half-decent ones that I quite like, vowed to buy a tripod. Very soon. Yes.
