...BEETHAM TOWER CRANE HAS BEEN ROOFPUNKED...
Did this with TristanJay and snappel, only minutes ago. After waiting for what seemed a lifetime for the bad weather to break we finally got our chance tonight. This time it wasn't wet, the wind alarm wasn't going off, and it all felt good.
Access was same as usual, nice a quiet until we reached the bottom of the crane.... Then, with total confusion and alarm we see:
! The bastards have only gone and secured the base !
Luckily, they underestimated our ability to overcome such extra security measures and soon we were headed up. And up.
And up.
And up...
Then we went up some more, it began to get windy, and once we cleared the existing building, it became quite windy. But still, up we went, until we were stood 500ft above Liverpool, on top of the tallest temporary structure in the UK.
I was so stoked I only got one decent pic. I'm sure snappel will have something better.

And then it was a quick trip up to the crow's nest, to make sure the crane had been utterly conquered. After a chat and a breather, it was all down, down, down, 32 sections of it, to the ground and silently slipping into the night.
It's done. I can now offically stop thinking about it. Good luck to those that follow!
