Seen that before, it's got details of my dad's family's old country pile on there!

No joke, that really was where my dad spent the first 3 years of his life as he was a Benthall, my great-grandfather Edward Benthall died in 1961 and passed it to my grandfather Michael Benthall who I never met as he died before I was born. What it doesn't mention about the fire that destroyed it is the Buddha statue that had always sat in the garden - it was mired in folklore but the story went that if that Buddha was ever moved, a terrible thing would happen to the house. On the night of the fire the Buddha was moved inside the house, and it burnt to the ground and still to this day nobody knows what started the fire. As the insurance required the pool to be kept full in the event of a fire and it wasn't, the new owners lost everything and didn't get a penny back.
