To begin with, i acknowledge the fact that this thread breaks several rules within the FAQ; so i won't take offence if any of you lovely faced moderators take issue with it and delete it straight away.
I am currently doing a project (rule break no.1, no college/uni projects) based upon the ruins of derelict houses (rule break no.2, houses arn't usually allowed on this site). I have scouted out quite a fair few within my area and further. However, i need more. Since there arn't many threads on derelict/abandoned houses on here, i have made this thread to ask all you lovely folk if you know of any (rule break no.3! No asking for access or location!).
I'm looking for houses that are in a bad state of disrepair; not just houses with metal plated window coverings, etc. Also in the North West or Midlands would be preferable!
Here's an example of my work and what i'm looking for:

I don't think i will find anything as aesthetically pleasing in terms of dereliction as this, but anything similar would be appreciated!
If so please may you pm me or email everythingfreezes @ gmail.com
And as i said before, if you beautiful mods want to trash this then i understand :thumb

Nope, it's an interesting project. As you said, reports on houses aren't really our thing, but I don't have any problems with you asking for help for this. It'd be interesting to see the results.

There's no specific rule against houses - it's just that almost all houses are not that interesting.

Houses are only allowed on here if they are deemed interesting enough as there are so many scattered about the country. I think that's why yours ended up in the bin even though it was a nice set of images and a nice place!
But yeah that would be great becci! If you could pm me or email me that would be amazing :thumb
And thanks Ben!

The Derelict Places forum might be a good place to ask. Not putting them down, but genuinely they seem to get a lot of more... well, houses.

I'll have to join and give them an ask, cheers HS :thumb
And Becci, it's the same as pubs on here - they arn't really done on here because most of them are exactly the same and don't differ too much.

I do like the picture, a bit Troy Paiva in the sense you've lit it with multiple flashes as well as a long exposure.
I don't really know of any abandoned houses but good luck luck with the project, I'd be interested to see the results.

Troy Paiva was a big inspiration to my work, but i've moved away from using the random coloured gels as that is his thing; i personally think that he is the only photographer who can use that technique without making the image simply be technique driven.
That's why i moved onto natural shots, and since this shot i've moved away from using flash completely - just natural light now.

I was going to suggest the derelict house on Croxton Lane, Middlewich...but looking again at your picture I think this may be it as the hole in the wall looks the same!

Few near me up in Cumbria, maybe a bit far to travel just for those but could be worth tagging onto a Northern explore? Let me know if you want any details??
