Lincoln Castings

Fantastic visit with the Lincoln crew. The foundry has only just closed, so is almost in production condition! It looks as though the buildings date from the 1960's/70's, but some telltale signs (mainly old narrowgauge rails in the floor) suggest parts of the site are much older...

Took in the main casting shop - I was amazed at how much was left, gloves just slung down after the last shift...
The control room is ace, no other way to describe it! Lots of flashing panels and computers still in situ. The porn was not to my taste tho :eek:
