Winter Hill Mines, Horwich (nr. Wigan) 06/04/06

This was my first trip down mines...I'd never really fancied it before but it completely exceeded all my expectations. We were down there for a hell of a long time and covered an extensive area all over Winter Hill. We went down with a couple of blokes who'd uncovered the mine a couple of years ago and have the entire network mapped out and know it like the back of their hands thankfully or else I'd still be down there now!
