Rauceby - 19/03/06

Regarding the coming down of the tower at Rauceby Hospital... we though a MUST need to visit this place, before it disappear's any further!!!:(

Access was has been made a little harder. Better fencing - and they have installed CCTV, since our last visit. (I think after the Pikey's have nicked a load of slates)

We couldn't see anything else missing as yet, other that the tower and one of the main corridors...

Yes a good day was had indeed.

Just glad we got to have a look around before Rauceby all but disappears.
Would have been good to have seen it in all it's glory and not just from pics.

Anyway here some pics from today visit:

Pic 1 - Bathtime for Mr. sixxfingers.
Pic 2 - Bit a balancing act to get around as a lot of floors have been ripped up.
Pics 3&4 - The Conservatory from outside and inside respectively
Pic 5 - The Main Hall again the floor has gone
Pic 6 - On the way to Radio Rauceby (note lack of steps on the stairs)
Pic 7 - Demolition well underway then...
Pic 8 - Random abandoned room
Pic 9 - What 'Water Tower'? Oh even I could get to the top of it now...
