Paid an early morning visit to this site today, reports posted on this site recently so will focus new stuff - the swimming pool building, and a new (to this forum) tunnel/bomb shelter I stumbled across.

First the swimming pool - bit of a bugger to get into, if you're gonna go TAKE A LADDER! Unusually for this site, this building is in excellent order. Due to it being so well locked down there has been virtually no chav or pidgeon damage. Excuse photo quality - had camera on wrong setting.

...and secondly, a previously un-explored (I think) bomb shelter. Not for animal lovers...

Is there any sweeter site than this

at least he had some company - its a rabbit I think

so there we are - I found the dog skeleton quite upsetting, poor little bugger. Gave the explore a depressed feel as I'm an animal lover.
There's another tunnel down there to be explored, will take a couple of people though as it will involve shifting a concrete slab.

Thought I'd add a few images of the inside of one of the two Martello towers on the HMS Ganges site that I visited after the swimming pool and tunnel. One is easy to get in to, but this one requires a ladder. Its a bit trashed inside but you can't help but be impressed by the brickwork, especially on the arched central support. The floor is not to be trusted. Once again, apols on image quality - still getting to grips with new camera.
