Right, do bare with me as this is the first time Ive ever done this. I only have a relatively old camera so the pictures are not great.
At Purdown, Bristol there was an Anti-Aircraft battery during WW2. The location is great as its really high up and can see those pesky germans coming from miles away.
I started off by following the big tower. At this point my clean shoes were getting muddy but I carried on hastly.
At the top the views are great (although the pics dont do it justice at all). Its a shame they came out poor .
The first of the platforms a bit overgrown and covered in graffiti.
This one wasnt too intact but you can see where the gun emplacement used to be.
Some more pics.
Then I came across a sort of concrete trench that ran quite a distance. Its mostly overgrown but I managed to get some pics of it.
And the entrance to it.
Then I found one the platforms that you could climb into.
A close up of one of the points that the gun emplacement was secured to.
And finally a bit closer to the tower.
Comments and criticism welcome.
