Brief History
Hartford Cotton Mill is a Grade II listed building that was built in 1907 by the Hartford Mill Company and designed by F W Dixon. The mill was extended in 1920 and 1924 and eventually closed in 1959.
Littlewoods used the mill as a mail order warehouse until 1992. The mill is part of a regeneration area and has been compulsory purchased by the local authority.

These days the mill dilapidated, with extensive fire and water damage. Oldham Council have recently been given planning permission to convert the mill into apartment.
