The Shipley picture house was designed by Ernest Dawson and built in 1932 to seat 1200 people. It later became known as the Glenroyal cinema, 30 years later it closed its doors.

In 1963 it reopened as a Bingo hall/casino under the name The Glen casino, another name change in 1974 and closure came again in 1982.

1990, a new owner and a new name - Walkers Bingo. In 2005 the doors closed for good.

Visited with solomon, squirrell911, kitty and kook. Good day out thanks all :)
