Exxon Mobil Blending Plant - Birkenhead - April 2011
This was a sticky, oily, slippery place. It was used to store and blend oil and grease substances and given it's location and typical use, information is hard to come by...
A man died here after falling 30 feet whilst stripping copper cable in 2009. This however has not deterred other's from trying, infact our exit was hindered for a moment whilst we awkwardly sneaked away from a 'pikey' on his way in. He was as spooked as us, an idle conversation later and we were out of there.
This is a fantastic location, pipe heaven and valve goodness all round, well worth a visit. Security are on site and apparently quite active but this place has seriously suffered at the hands of the copper thieves, aswell as being bloody noisy due to the wind given it's dockside location!
No externals as we didn't have chance to fit them in, there's too much in the way but I hope you enjoy regardless...
Cheers
