morning all, i visited this site just outside of Hull last week with my mate Mr Miyagi (his report is already on) not much on the history front that he has not already said. HAA site that is set out in the 1941 pattern with 4 gun pits and standard command post.
site was a bit overgrown and was used by the local farmer for storage, it was a nice place look round if only to appreciate the value of how much time and effort was made to build all of these structures all around the country to safe guard the country when it was at war.:popcorn

we took this as meaning 423 battery site

as you can see this room was painted a horrible garish bright yellow

the paint on this was reflective

there was another underground room but due to it been flooded and the entrance very overgrown we couldnt access it.
