The Spode building is now owned by the city council and certain areas of the building are now out of bounds due to asbestos within the building . The guards there are fantastic and are willing to open sections of the building to explore , I do model photography so I just say which rooms Id like to use , but the guards have a passion for the building and are more than willing to talk and let you explore. Certain parts are locked up and its difficult to get to though.

Interesting to see some shots of the offices, the security guard was based very close to that building when it was all sat idle so I never managed to get into that section.

It's good to see a recent report from Spode, I've never actually gotten around to taking any photos when I've visited, really should do soon. If the council get their way it will be a supermarket one day. :(

It's a really nice explore and the main offices are something else. The security guards have always been a pain in the arse when I've visited though so you must just be lucky!
