Hi,

I have been a member for a while and enjoy reading all the reports, and have been itching to start my own explores. Whilst on a family holiday in cornwall I was walking the dog on the beach and noticed an easy looking access to a small culvert/tunnel and temptation got the better of me so me and my sisters other half ventured in for a look.

As it wasnt planned I only had my phone to take pics and had also to use it as a torch and I also ended up slipping off the ledge and into the river on the way out and got soaking wet feet!

The stone tunnel starts off at about 5ft high but gets lower the further you go in, It goes underneath the road and under a block of apartments and I probably could have got a bit further but did not fancy crawling on my hands and knees without a decent light source to guide the way.

Anyway here are a few pictures, any comments welcome as this is my first attempt at a report :)

Drains for a first report is bang on! :thumb

I know it was a spur of the moment thing, but if you plan to go out and do a drain you'll get better results using a long exposure setting on a camera set up on a tripod and using a torch to light paint. Also be wary of tidal systems, its not somewhere you'd want to get trapped in by the incoming tide.

Thanks for the positive comment the tide was well out at the time but I was very cautious plus my sister was on the outside keeping and eye out,I will be buying myself and then learning how to use a dslr camera soon as I do take a lot of photos hopefully more reports and better photos soon!

Nice first report mate, well done.
Looks like some fairly old stonework there, a pretty little culvert.
