Buxton traction maintenance depot was once home to 20 or 30 Engines at any one time, it closed in the 90's after the introduction of Multiple units and the drop in freight traffic made in obsolete, Buxton TMD has been left to decay for quite some time, but now has once again been rumored to reopen with the increases in heavy rail traffic in the greater Manchester and Derbyshire areas.

Awesome find, same as OT wasn't aware of a TMD in Buxton. Will be sure to pop up and check it out though.

Nice one, I remember when this was an operating depot. Nice to see the Fruit D van still inside too! Mostly, these ended up being sold to farmers for sheds.

I'm amazed the Class 15x coupler is there. They were used under BR to allow locomotives or first generation DMUs to provide assistance.

Wicked! Haven't seen this in time! Been inside for a few visits, but then they welded it shut and went crazy with the razorwire... Top effort!
