Had this one on my list for ages and finally went for it tonight. Stupidly dangerous entry, but well worth the effort. This place has only been derelict for 4 years - it looks more like 40.
The place has been stripped out, but what we wasn't banking on was access to the properties adjoining the theatre, which made up for things. All in all a cracking explore... BUT... be very, very careful. This place is a complete death trap! The floors are totally rotten, if they give way, it'll take about 20 seconds for you to land.
Sorry if the pics are a bit dark....there's a CCTV outside the place which we didn't want noticing us.

Last few....

Finally this is the ceiling... my crap picture doesn't do it justice...

This site was so cool that me and Robsey decided it was worth another look (during the day this time) so we popped along earlier today - here are my pics, taken on my new cam...yay! Still gonna take some getting use to the new cam of course, but here goes my first try on it........

beautiful decorative balcony - in a right old state, unfortunately


This is the third tier of balcony's - it really high up and incredibly rotten and dangerous...scary stuff!!


This pic is a little bright and doesn't capture the scale of the space around it - but this staircase is on the middle tier and really open and steep - vertigo for the faint-hearted for sure


Below are some varying shots from around the building - there are loads of interesting nooks, crannies and features in there to see, in such a state though - awful state considering the place has only been shut 3 or so years;

all in all cool explore again - the Theatre Royal is perhaps as beautiful in daylight as it was exciting in the dark...wicked!

Few more pics from the other day. First pic we found another empty building opposite the theatre and climbed on the roof to get the shot.
