Wakefield ABC cinema- The video. June 08

I have done a new video inside the abandoned wakefield ABC/regal cinema.

It is a beautiful art deco building which was opened on Dec 9th 1935 and designed by house architect William.R.Glen. It was originally called the Regal and was renamed ABC then cannon. It fell silent in 1997 in its final ncarnation as the ABC again.

I have tried to improve on my last still image videos and now have used footage taken inside as well as the archive images and shots.

The video was taken in june 2008 and the shots are a collecton of shots i have took since January. The archive images can be found in the book "cinemas and theaters of the Wakefield district" an excellent historical book by Kate Taylor.
