    Hi there.

    Just some news.
As I am local to this place (not sure if I should mention?) me and a few friends decided to have a look around.
Everything we done was "above board" I believe, we saw a path leading in no fences no signs.
Looked around took some photos etc then when going to a different building a security guard came up to us (baton drawn and ready to use). We just said we are exploring and he replied just get out. I said the way we came? (as I didn't want to turn back towards the buildings without confirmation) and he said just go.

we walked away, then he said police. we start running.
got to the car and I'm about to leave when 1 guy twisted his ankle. he eventually got in however the security guard came onto the road and whacked the rear of my car with his baton.

If push came to shove and he got my plate and the police came around could I say he used unnessecary force?

This is a place that has been documented before and recently this year it has been visited.

MODS: If this is in the wrong place or I shouldn't be posting this please delete it. cheers.

So we better avoid all 1,220 square miles of Gloucestershire?

(or could you, perhaps, narrow it down to maybe a few hundred square miles of no-go territory? :thumb)

if push came to shove you have the right to use REASONABLE force to defend yourself

if he swings a baton at you run over the cunt

It was at the Bentham Works.

Was just kindof scary as a few days earlier it was just 2 of us and we had no hassle but seems like if he had saw us he would have gone for us.

to be honest I think he was trying to scare us (5 people) as he was on his own.
doesn't give him the right to do that shit after we left, but I would have done the same.

I drive for my job so running him over was the last thought I had.

That's mad. Never seen anybody there before.
Are you sure it was a bona-fide security guard? Did he have a company uniform on? (Glevum?)
Seems a bit odd that he'd be wielding a baton, he's not allowed to threaten people with offensive weapons any more than you are.

One of my friends (he had a security job once) did point out he wore a plain shirt. No company name, no visible ID.

He was there both times I believe, day and night. 17:00pm and 22:00pm
He seems to be excessive with force so I wouldn't park too close by if you plan on visiting. I wouldn't argue with him either.
He is a chubby so running away isn't to hard. :thumb

seems like a big olde generator is running and 1 unit seems to be in use.

Probably some personal enterprise in the agricultural arena and he was trying to stop people nicking his dope.

I had the same trouble here a couple of years ago and it sounds like the same fat f##### , just inside the main entrance on the left is where he hangs out and you would'nt know he was there as all the windows are boarded and his vehicle is not parked anywhere in site, he has a couple of cheap little cameras around the outside of his little building so he can see who's about, so avoid the front of the place near the main entrance and stay at the large hangers round the back, I was on my own and got knocked to the floor, punched in the face, camera damaged, shirt ripped, police were called by him and he held me there until they arrived, police gave me a talking to and I was allowed to leave without any further action, I did report the security guy to the Gloucestershire Police after for what had been done to me but nothing was done, I have avoided the place ever since, he is a law unto himself, this thread brought back some nasty memories of what started as a good explore, you could be a prospective purchaser of the site and he would still beat you up, biggggg bullyyyyy

personally I'd have reported him for being unlicensed ( or not showing a badge), threatening with an offensive weapon, and criminal damage. Probably too late now.

Please make no mistake, you were technically trespassing when you were asked to leave, and when you agreed that should have been the end of the matter.
Was the security guard in uniform, and was he clearly identified as security? Did he tell you he was a security officer?
The fact that he was armed, and that he had a drawn offensive weapon is illegal. Security are allowed to tell you you are trespassing, and to ask you to leave. If you are not willing to leave, or if there has been a clear breaking of a law then the guard can call the police. And yes that includes scaling fences and definitely breaking anything to get in.
The fact that the guards chased you onto a public roadway from an unmarked unfenced property (that's how it was, right?) And then struck your car with his weapon is a criminal offense. Just another clear case of power tripping. It seems you were in the right and the guard was behaving criminally. Not much consolation when you are faced with an armed man looking for an excuse to vent his frustrations on you, but then they do not pick them for intelligence do they. That is a man who needs to be ambushed with paint balls!!!!:D
