    Hi,

Info ok so I am Ali, 38, living in South London, near Sutton. I have lived in South London all my life.
I have spent the last 3 or so months on the net, learning about urban discoveries, locations, experiences that people have had. I have developed a great deal of respect for those willing to literally risk their sanity or perhaps even their lives in pursuit of the 'different', the unexplored, that which is strongly advised against, but instead choose to put fate in their own hands and trust their instinct, their lives often in the hands of strangers with alternative senses of humour and home-made maps, shunning the powers that be.
I have read about Lazar Kunstmann, the UX, the LMDP, the Cata-Cops, Masha in the Odessa mines, the lost footage, the Lizard (would like to avoid I think!), the beach, the castle, the cinema and the bar. The Paris Catacombs is predominately the reason for me joining this site. Whether a day in the future will see me enter the old Parisian quarries is 50/50, as I have not yet learned enough to decide. From what I have seen on this site there is a lot of knowledge out there; knowledge I have respect for.
Exploring more local and slightly less life-threatening locations seems more sensible than a Euro Star return ticket to plunge straight in to the Holy Grail of underground labyrinths straight off the bat. From what I have read so far, one of the best local sites to me is the Croydon Deep Shelter, in Hooley, an area which I know very well having lived there for 10 years. That Starbucks used to be a Happy Eater 30 years ago! I have never been in the woods to the entrance, although someone on here said that there is now a concrete block over it(?).
Epsom Deep Shelter sounds amazing, although locked(?). Bought by a laser shooting game company(?). Its entrance has a beautiful setting in the trees.
As you all know there is also a large WW2 bunker recently discovered in Carshalton, on the Wrythe Recreation Ground which is around the corner from where I live.
Ideally I am aiming to be accepted in to a group of similar thinkers, free radicals, adventurers, people for whom the system does not stimulate.
Such acceptance I know is earned, and earned well.

So you all know a bit about me ...

    ....let's see where this goes!
