Hey, I just came across this site whilst doing some research and found it fascinating. I am from Hudderfield, West Yorks and really interested in getting more involved in the urban exploration scene. A while ago I did find some old factories on a long canal walk, and I've noticed people in my area have been visiting the old Camelot abandoned theme park, which I would love to do as I remember going there as a child when it was still up and running! Churches and graveyards are really more my forte, and I have visited quite a few Castles in my time as well and been told off for climbing them lol.
I would particularly like to find out about attractions in my local area to visit, maybe meet some new friends into this sort of thing and take some of my existing friends along on these creepy expeditions too :)
    Thanks for reading!

    Peace out,
Gothy Kitten on metal steed ^--^

Welcome aboard from just over the hill; far enough away from the sound of the banjo's :D

Mate, what is this banjo thing? We have brass bands aplenty here - not so sure about banjos.

Infact there's quite a renowned banjo player who resides on your side of the hill so I'd say banjos were more of a Saddleworth thing tbh.

I have previously mentioned to @Fudge about the sound of banjo's on that side of the Pennines, especially when you head up the many small side valleys, you just get the feeling you could be on the set of Deliverance sometimes :D Saddleworth is the home of The Band Contest was where 'Brassed Off' was filmed and every village has at least one brass band often two, and even though it is well known for a few grizzly murders as well as the infamous Moors Murders, the Moors Murders were more above Meltham and Marsden. Never quite sure why Saddleworth got linked.
