    Hi,

My new years' resolution is to try my hand at Urbex and I'm here to find out if there are any groups or folk around the Cheshire / South Wirral area to explore with.

Went for my first look around today; got some photos of a Bromborough chems plant (Croda) and spotted a few other potential leads but I've already seen the possible danger or risk of getting trapped which is a bit off-putting for solo explores.

If there are any groups around here then come and say hi and we can see more of the Wirral's hidden gems together! :)

    Hey!

I'm in Preston but happy to travel to new places! I'm very new to it too :)

    Been anywhere exciting yet?

Ok cool, I think I saw there was somewhere in Preston that looked interesting when I was doing some googling last night! :)

I got just inside a chemical processing plant today; didn't get a thorough look around because I was solo but it was my first effort. Definitely worth checking out again; ideally from a different way in (I chose a wall that had been discretely peanut-buttered so attack dogs could find me if I hung around too long :'))

I also tracked down a an old church and school but access didn't look promising; might be worth returning to that general area with a larger group in the future!

There were still technical documents and certificates lying around on desks!
That's exactly what I was hoping I'd here from joining this site; it would be a million time more fun and productive with more people, that element of panic wouldn't be an issue :')

I've just started, hoping to get into it this year!

Welcome, Liverpool has a lot going on, try Lostock power St but keep your wits about you…Croda is a great place to start out, easy access and fun to look round. your not a million miles from north wales and theres some stuff with seeing there too. Hope to see reports up soon.

Have you visited Croda before? I was hoping the access would be easier (less climbing, more walk-in) but it looks like demolition/ renovation has started and possible access points are being quickly cut off or guarded :(

Any advice on ways into the the place you've found? I don't fancy getting covered in peanut butter again! :')

I mean, peanut butter is all well and good on toast, not so much on walls!

I've not, no. I'm really very new to this group and the stuff I've done before has all been agricultural and rural (abandoned farmhouses and barns etc) and they tend to not really have doors or any kind of security!

That's more the kind of place I'm after; not so much active security! Certainly if I have to go solo, I'm a real rookie :')

Hello, I'm living in the Wirral but have been exploring Wales and Warrington area with my friend for the past few weeks. We're struggling to find somewhere to go now. Any ideas would be great thanks
