Hello everyone, Shaun H here from North Lincolnshire. Loving the old military stuff here and loving photographing as much as I can. I especially like the old relics out on the salt marshes around Donna Nook, Theddlethorpe and Wainfleet. I just cannot resist those huge blue skies and the sheer silence of the place. Hoping to join in soon with lots of photographs. Very best wishes to you all.

    Hi Shaun

I am interested in taking a few photos of a tank along Theddlethorpe beach near the sand dunes, which I believe to be an old Cromwell / Comet, I was wondering if you could offer me advice regarding if this is still here or if it now submerged by sand?

Nick W, I was there at the beach late last year and the tank was still very clearly visible but not as good as it was some years back. Personally, I think it is still worth a visit when the skies open up a bit more, oh, and yes, it is a Comet tank. I first photographed it back around 2004 and the cylinder liners were clearly visible then. A really good old relic and one I am hoping to photograph again when things get better weather wise. I shall be using a new 14mm ultra wide next time.

Thank you for your response Shaun. I was concerned it may have been taken away for scrap or vandalised but am looking forward to seeing it when the weather improves, and getting a few photos myself!
