Hey all, just seen this on quarries and mines, a really good place to check out is the quarry in helsby (just outside of chester) in Cheshire, I spent pretty much all of my childhood in this quarry which for the past 15 years or so has been like a nature reserve kinda place, but at night its an awesome place to go, whether there is anything of interest there to anyone on here I don't know but at night you hear all sorts of funky noises and stuff there's a couple of disused buildings at the top end (through the gate and to the right) whether they are there or not anymore I don't know as not been living in that area for the past 4 years now down in the sunny south, but could be a cool place to check out, if anyone does let me know what ya think :)

Thanks for posting this bugzy and welcome to 28dayslater, I have moved it here as it is more suited to leads and rumours. I have been here on more than a few occasions when walking with my littluns (who are now big) :) and it is a lovely place, I remember the majority of the entrances being fenced off and grilled but the views from the top of the hill are staggering.Years ago I went to a nightclub on top of here but cant remember the name of it and google is now help...welcome again Bugzy :hello

the nightclub on the hill was the Mersey view closed a good few years ago now when I was an early teen I think maybe a bit younger so a while before my clubbing days lol but yeah the views of the hills there are breath taking, and the walk through them are really nice too right from frodsham hill into fox hill then onto helsby hill, and off the down the backside of the hill down into the quarry :)
