Define 'Flooded Structure' as most are below the water table and not on the ground floor! Do you intend to dive to explore them or just paddle?

thinking along the lines of mines, WW2 bunkers, underground storage, etc

    something diveable.

Most diveable sites are too far north for a 1 day excursion

Quite a few mines would be a good option for diving. I know there's a couple in the Peak District that are quite popular for that sort of stuff.

Aye, I didn't think it would be. I'd imagine running track in scuba gear would be a little unpleasant anyway.

the power station seems the most promising so far, with a bit of luck it has some shaft or tunnel and doesn't just go down....
