Hickson and Welch Chemicals Castleford, if you like industrial sites then this is a must it's big very big, lots of pipes control rooms labs boiler house its got all the good stuff making dodging security well worth it. i know a few people have got unlucky with getting caught but i guess i was lucky(get your selfs back there). the site is split in two making it twice as good getting from one side to the other is full of fun as well this can be done various ways all depending how much balls you got, either way is all good. there was some activity on site as i know demo worked had started then stopped but i think their getting ready for starting it again so you may need to be quick as a lot has gone already.
Hickson and Welch specialises in the synthesis of organic chemical Intermediates and has two principal businesses, contract manufacture and fine chemical intermediates, statted in 1915 by Ernest Hickson when he had built a plant for TNT and picric acid production, in the 1920's he switches production to dye's and pigments then over the years moves into other chemical types of manufacturing, the plant finally closed 2005..
