    Hitler's U-boat Bunkers [Paperback] by
    Jak P. Mallmann Showell

These are some incredible structures, some of which still survive in France and possibly Norway. Some superb images but my copy has not much detail on what’s visible today, but that can be found out with a bit of research (I think the new edition may have added a gazetteer).

Yeah it's good, the best I've found so far in English - Fortress France (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fortress-Fr...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1300659185&sr=1-1 ) has more on the history but I find the Fortress series one (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maginot-Lin...=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1300659258&sr=1-2) gives one a better idea of what to expect with its plans and the odd cutaway

I couldn't find the full post as his site is awfully slow today, but here are some amazing shots from a bunch of guys who spent the night in a U-boat bunker in SW France.
