While at Leeds I thought about having a visit too the Holbeck viaduct,
nothing special but passed away a few hrs.

The Holbeck viaduct was built in 1869,
by London North Western railway (LNWr) & is 1500 yards long.
There are 7 steel over bridges & 4 subways,
the remaining structure consists of 87 arches.
The viaduct ran from Leeds station to an embankment,
    closed during 1988.
This was once a spur from Leeds station to Farnley Junction,
until it became surplus too requirements
The track remains in situ on one side of the viaduct.

I've not been posting recently and this is one of the reasons why.

You have basically driven and walked somewhere where anyone can go. You have not even ventured into the tunnel??

    I've had better explores walking to church on a Sunday . . . . .

Therese a reason its £3.50 because you return and you don't have a car any-more ever been to Holbeck!!!
And the secca is a pikey with a pry bar!

Visited this place when I was 15... It was shit then and cant imagine it has gotten any better...

This sums up Holbeck in one...

Well well well, look at you getting comments off members that never normally comment on your reports...well done :thumb

Looks like you"d best bin the risky Culverts and solo trips to Coke Works that nobody else has done in future & do an illustrated Rambling Book of old Railway Infrastructure, it"ll get more attention mate ;)

Bit upset with your report on a personal level as I was expecting a few Prostitutes in your pics & after in-depth scrutiny i can"t see any.....are you sure it"s Leeds :D
