I decided to pay a visit to this place after derping at bagworth. It was a nice easy explore, you've got to be careful though as there's holes and lifted drain covers all over the place, along with ripped up floor boards and nails sticking up everywhere. It really doesn't help that I'm probably one of the more clumsy people.

Even since the last report on here, which was only 4 months ago it's been trashed a lot more. Definitely still worth an explore in my book though, the site is pretty big and there's still stuff to see. It took me about 2 hours to get around all of the buildings, during which another group of explorers came and went, along with a thunderstorm.

History (butchered together from other reports)
The site opened as NATSOPA in 1921 as a memorial to printers who lost their lives in the great war.
It was acquired by the Pilgrims Trust in the '60s(ish) and renamed Hornsey Rise Memorial Home, it was later closed in 2012 following the opening of another home.

    On with the photos..

I really enjoyed taking a look around this place! Definitely one of my favourites, I have visited this place a lot over the last year and it's sad to see it has become so trashed! Just a word of warning aswell I last visited a week or so a go and was confronted by two rozzers and two pcsos. Who told me they had been patrolling the place heavily over the last few weeks. If you are considering giving it a go keep your wits about you and I'd suggest not parking out the front.

Yup last time i drove past there was a police van in the gateway, mind you they have had warning signs up for ages and numerous people caught there.

Wow, I'm amazed they even bother going out to that place. There's not a whole lot more that can be trashed or stolen.

It was easy as when I went... little recce going past, spin the car around, park up in the second gateway, sorted :thumb I must have got lucky because it'd be pretty obvious to any passing police vehicles that someone was in there. They would have had a field day with me and the other group of about 5 or 6.

Ha! Myself and IronStine were there yesterday, bold as brass, parked the car out front and spent about three hours in there. Not a whisper of anybody else, no coppers, rozzers or secca. It's well trashed now, but we kind of still enjoyed the explore.
