I believe this building pumped water to the Loco Works during the world war.
The building is surrounded by water so boots/wellies are advised if visiting... There is also a culvert on the site which runs all the way under the loco works, but we had no clue that it was there and didn't want to go in without a flash light (re-visiting the culvert in the next 2 weeks).
There is nothing really to see in the building, and was mainly smashed up and had shattered beer bottles all over the ground and walls covered in graffiti, which is a shame.

It sure did, There's also a decent drain the other side of that pond

Also the loco works is quite cool, go check that out too, the sites pretty lively in places but easy enough

I managed it on crutches :D

Which 'entrance' did you use to get into the loco works? Will have a mooch around soon when we go to the culvert :)

theres a new fence up so the access we had is now gone (the old fence had more holes than a soggy teabag!)
