This was a solo visit a while back, I was in the area with an afternoon to fill so took a drive up here.

Construction of Huncoat Powerstation began in 1950 and was concluded six years later, when it was officially opened by the Mayor. The station operated for twenty eight years before it's closure in 1984.
The cooling towers were brought down in 1988 with most of the remaining site demolished in 1990.
All that remains now is the admin block, which is thought to have continued switching operations until the new substation next door was brought online.

The remaining building is now totally derelict and seems to be shared by local kids and graff writers.
