This place is amazing... no other way to describe it. In 2002 the workers turned up to find the company had gone into recievership... and were told to go home. Since then everything has remained untouched. Plates, cups, salt cellars and gravy boats sit stacked ready to be fired. In the next room cups sit awaiting glazing. The transfers for the bottom of the company's wares sit on the sheet of wax paper ready for application. On the first floor all th moulds from the company's long history sit on racks, never to be used again. On the top floor, Thousands of pecies of crockery are stacked on racks... why I have no idea. Access is very unusual and if you are serious about this place PM me... as you can see it is very delicate!!
