I have been waiting to get into this place for a while, more out of curiosity than anything. Its been closed since 2005 and the attached shops and restaurant also came to the same fate after Birmingham City Council bought them out to make way for their big park that will be built on top of it, including the VTP200 which will be a great new explore at unseen heights over Birmingham.

Even when the VTP200 is completed, it looks worth a trip, at over 200m high, you can walk round the tower attached to a harness on a single platform that circles the structure, no hand rail! Also if you want a full on view, you can climb to the very top of the tower! Check the video out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qV0otp-K8bg&NR=1
