    Hi all,

This is my first ROC post, and the pics I got werent amazing, I had a really crappy torch, and the flash on my cameraphone wasn't really up to the job, but theyre not that bad.

The original access gate has been completely overgrown, so you have to walk a little to it. As you can see, the original (I think) fencing is still there:

It has some metal steps leading to the hatch, which are in great condition, like the access hatch itself. Theres absolutely no damage to the concrete, or the vent grilles, or GZI indicator, or even the sump waste pipe:

The vent shaft has been overgrown by brambles and other things, but looks to be in a good way:

Heres a shot taken from atop the hatch, I believe the tall metal disc-topped pole is the 'Fixed survey meter probe', or am I wrong?

If I'm not mistaken (Please correct me if I'm wrong) This would be the 'Bomb power indicator'?

So anyway, we opened her up, which was no easy task, as the hatch has completely come off it's hinges. It took 2 of us to get it open without it flipping off to one side. The counterbalance mechanism still works perfectly though:

Unfortunately, my phones flash wasn't good enough, so the only inside overview pic I have is this:

Heres the desk (Not original issue):

If you compare these pics to sub brits visit in 2001, you will notice that some things have been moved around. The cardboard box on the table contains a telephone handset thats not in subbrits pictures, but I forgot to take a photo of it.

Heres a shot of a 'Kubex wonder oven', you'll notice the handset in the box to the left:

    Government issue toilet paper:

    Cleaning products in cupboard:

Anyone know what this is? It was behind the door in the main chamber. The top is like a vent, but pic isn't clear. Kinda looks like a flower pot:

The Sump pump, now totally seized.

Finally, the ladder shot. Surprisingly the ladder has not rusted at all

Sorry for the lack of pics, I got carried away looking at everything and forgot to take shots.

Please let me know what you think.

I'm tempted to get my blacksmith friend to build a new hatch for it, so it opens safely, what do you people think?

    Andy
