Hi guys, first post so please leave comments, remarks or criticisms etc. Cheers.
As a frequent punter of the casino on Osborne Road in Southsea, I got talking to a legend of a guy who works there who was talking about all the unused space upstairs, above the casino which intrigued me. Anyway, long story short, he let me and a friend have a permission visit last year. (I have been in hospital for a couple of months after a car crash hence the delay with the photos).
The size of this place is overwhelming, with a good 2 full floors, with 2 bars, ballroom, kitchens, stores, offices, WCs (which have been blocked off in building work in the last few years), as well as a massive underground cellar, which we're sure extends nearly as far as the sea.
For more history, there's a great website HERE

    On with the pictures:

    First floor Bar

    Second Floor Ballroom

    Piano Stage

Other End of Ballroom It's got to be at least 100ft long.

    Ballroom Bar

Ashtray From what I could see, they were Silk Cut and Rothmans.

    Quality Door in Quality Condition

Cocktail Bar Used for casino sundries storage.

Barrel Store Bizarrely, these were mostly more than half full and smelt proper funky.

    Proper, Clunky, Heavy Light Switches

Tray Note the bottle cap bottom right has expiry of Aug '88.

    Hope you like.
