    History
The Kingsway building in Kings Heath was designed as a cinema in 1925, but later reopened as a bingo hall in 1980. It closed in 2007 and was burned down in September 2011.

It was interesting to see how much things had changed since the 2012 report and the pre-fire reports from 2010; the majority of the side rooms had been stripped almost bare and the back half of the hall was covered in rubble, the ground was very unstable to walk on in some areas however I did manage to make it to the roof. It was interesting being able to watch people go by completely obliviously.

Wheels are in motion on the redevelopment now. Frontage being retained and shops and flats in the back iirc

It's taken them a while. I heard some redevelopment plans have been declined because it would cause too much disruption to the surroundings of the site

Thanks! Yeah, didn't bother me too much but I'd have liked to have seen it before it ended up in this state.

Kept meaning to have a quick nosey round here as it's a stones throw from my house but I can see I'm not missing much, fair play for giving it a go though

@PopPunkJamie You should definitely give it a go, it's very far gone but I sort of like it the way it is (still a shame though). Won't take longer than 15 minutes to do the whole thing so it won't hurt to pop in and have a look round.
